Summary: We collect only what we need to provide ConvoType services. We don’t sell your data. We don’t track you across the web. Your form responses belong to you.
1. Who We Are
ConvoType (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ConvoType Cloud platform at convotype.com and the ConvoType Pro WordPress plugin. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a ConvoType account, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Password (stored encrypted)
- Billing information (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers)
Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Pages visited and features used within ConvoType
- Browser type, device information, and IP address
- Form creation and response analytics (aggregate, anonymized)
Form Response Data
When end users fill out forms you create with ConvoType:
- Response data is collected and stored on your behalf
- We act as a data processor; you are the data controller
- We do not access, use, or sell form response data for our own purposes
WordPress Plugin
ConvoType Pro (WordPress plugin) stores form data in your own WordPress database. No form response data is sent to our servers unless you explicitly use ConvoType Cloud features or integrations.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve ConvoType services
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts)
- Provide customer support
- Detect and prevent abuse or security threats
- Generate anonymized, aggregate analytics to improve our product
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Payment processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf
- Infrastructure: Hosting providers that store data under strict confidentiality agreements

- With your consent: When you explicitly authorize a third-party integration (webhooks, Zapier, etc.)

- Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Form response data: Retained until you delete it, or within 30 days of account deletion
- Usage logs: Retained for up to 12 months for security and analytics purposes
- Billing records: Retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
